Thanks to the lovely people over at Invo Coconut Water, I was one of the first people in the Midwest to try this 100% natural beverage straight from Thailand. Invo Coconut Water comes in three flavors, tropical, Sencha Green Tea and natural coconut.
Sencha Green Tea
I chose to review the sencha green tea. With only has 8 grams of sugar per 12 oz serving, the sencha was in-line with the other coconut waters and green juices I enjoy, which all have 9 grams of sugar per serving or less.
The taste was interesting, in a very good way. The unique flavor of the Sencha green tea mixed with the coconut water was refreshing. I’m very sensitive to caffeine and didn’t notice any difference in my ability to sleep. (A cup of coffee usually keeps me up for a few days!)
Each 12 oz serving has 50 calories, 0 grams of fat, 85 mg of sugar and 8 grams of sugar. There’s no additional sugar added. The only two ingredients are coconut water and the Sencha green tea.
Invo Coconut Water is different than most others in regards to the their pasteurization process. They use a process called HPP (High Pressure Processing). It’s a cold pasteurization process that kills all of the molds, yeasts, bacteria, etc and maintains the nutritional benefits.
